The Becker Bulldogs Girls Soccer Team was only able to compete once this week due to poor weather conditions. Tuesday the Bulldogs played against the Big Lake Hornets, losing 2-1.
Even with the loss, the team played well. Hornet Kaiden Dilger scored the first goal. Becker created some chances in the first half, but Big Lake’s goalie, Taylor Moen, made a couple of saves.
Becker started the second half stronger and scored a goal through Emma Domka. With around 20 minutes left, Big Lake scored the go-ahead goal.
Despite several attempts by the Bulldogs the team was unable to score.
“It’s a tough conference loss but we’re looking to regroup and have a better week next week,” said Coach Arnold Changamire.
Thursday game against Chisago was postponed due to the weather and will be rescheduled at a later date.
This week the Bulldogs will be playing St. Cloud Apollo, North Branch, Cambridge and St. Cloud Tech.
