The Pebble Creek Women’s Club completed its Club Championship tournament Aug. 29 and 30 at Pebble Creek Golf Club under sunny skies and with exceptional course conditions.

“We had a wonderful end of season club championship with many of our women’s club members playing across several flights,” said Stacey Vetsch, Pebble Creek Women’s Club President.

“The Pebble Creek Women’s Club is made up of a great group of women  who build friendships, improve their golf game and work together to expand the game of golf and support our local community through our Pebble Creek Cares program. We send our congratulations to all of club championship participants and winners.”

The overall low gross winner and 2020 Women’s Club Champion was Lori Keller. In the first flight, the top net winners were Dana Olsen (first), Denise Mason (second) and Kathy Hollenhorst (third). In the second flight, the top net finishers were Leann Donovan (first), Tammy Miller-Hess (tie for second) and Stacey Vetsch (tie for second). In the third flight, top net finishers were Brenda Ashmore (first), Cheryl Ellingson (second) and Shannon Mathews (third). Receiving the ‘come-back player’ award for the most improved score on the second day of play was Peggy Sogard.

“We are so fortunate to have such a first-class golf course to enjoy during our weekly Tuesday league play as well as for our weekend tournaments”, said Dana Olsen, who co-managed the Club Championship tournament along with Lynette Brannan.

“The course was in amazing shape and the tournament ran smoothly from start to finish. We’d like to thank Jason Scharfencamp, Pebble Creek Golf Superintendent, and Ian Holmes, Pebble Creek Guest Services Manager for their extra effort in putting on such a great event for us!”
