Jv Swimmers Do Well In Milaca

The Becker Bulldog JV swimming and diving team participated in a meet at Milaca last Saturday.
 
“The girls had some great swims,” said Head Coach Tina Tamm. “It was a big meet atmosphere for the JV girls.  It gets them ready for swimming varsity meets later.  I look forward to seeing what all these girls will do in their upcoming years.”   
 
In the 200 medley relay, the Becker foursome of Kamryn Gass, Alana Berger, Morgan Kappel and Piper Romfo took 10th place.
 
In the 200 IM, Berger took 10th.
 
In the 50 freestyle, Alexis Drehmel finished in 14th place, Morgan Schrader in 15th place and Maddie Ratz in16th place.
 
In the 100 freestyle event, Sophie Diaz took seventh place, Romfo took 12th and Kappel took 17th.
 
In the 200 freestyle relay, the foursome of Gass, Diaz Lauren Johnson and Romfo took eighth place. The foursome of Ratz, Drehmel, Monica Zimmerman and Schrader took 15th.
 
In the 100 backstroke, Gass finished in eighth place and Sarah Schmidt in 14th.
 
In the 100 breaststroke, Berger took 13th and Kappel 16th.
 
In the 400 freestyle relay, Becker’s Romfo, Gass, Berger and Diaz took fifth place while Zimmerman, Schmidt, Johnson and Kappel took 13th.
 
The Bulldog varsity are back in the pool at Little Falls Thursday for a meet against the Flyers at 6 p.m.
