On Saturday the Big Lake girls tennis team hosted their first Quad of the season. Others in attendance were Roseau, Willmar, and conference foe, North Branch. 

The team finished the day 0-3, but the bright spot was Emily Shoop going undefeated out of the #2 singles spot. Shoop was the lone winner for the team against Roseau and North Branch. The team lost 3-4 against Willmar. Also winning that match were Lexi Kapsner and Katlyn Baron in #1 doubles and Lindsey Shoop and Kaelyn Dietz in #3 doubles. 

Last Thursday the team hosted a Mississippi 8 Conference match against St. Francis. The visiting Fighting Saints swept the host Hornets 7-0, in the first meeting of these two teams. 

The team will host Becker on Thursday and a Triangular on Saturday. Then they will travel to Annandale on Monday and return home on Tuesday for a match against Chisago Lakes.
