For the second consecutive week, the Big Lake Hornet football team was held off the scoreboard as they fell to 0-4 with a 28-0 loss to Delano last Friday night.
Last week they lost 65-0 to Willmar and their offense has only scored 19 points in their four games.
The Tigers got touchdowns in all four quarters to down the Hornets, who struggled on both sides of he ball, giving up 306 yards on 66 plays while only accumulating 109 yards — 88 by the ground game.
QB Tyler Anderson was two-for-12 through the air for 21 yards. RB Nolan Miller gained 92 yards on 17 carries including a 65-yard jaunt that unfortunately did not lead to any points. Jonah Mallberg had the two catches from Anderson for 21 yards.
Big Lake could only amass four first downs all night while Delano collected 19. Big Lake had one fumble lost and racked up seven penalties for 46 yards compared to Delano’s two penalties for 12 yards.
