Last Wednesday, the Big Lake girls’ lacrosse team lost to conference foe Monticello by a score of 10-2. The Magic led 5-0 after the first quarter and never relinquished their lead.
Amelia Gardner scored a goal in the second quarter for the Hornets, but unfortunately the Magic added one of their own to make the halftime score 6-1. The Magic added three more goals in the third quarter, but sophomore Sloane Greisert stopped the Monticello run with a goal of her own in the fourth quarter.
On Thursday the team will host Brainerd for a non-conference matchup before travelling to Sauk Rapids-Rice on Friday for a conference game.
