Following is an accumulation of scores and results from some of Big Lake’s fall sports teams.

Girls Soccer

The Hornet girls soccer team fell to 4-5-3 with a loss to  Maranatha West Lutheran by a score of 1-0. The girls have beaten Hutchinson, Rockford, Heritage Christian and Zimmerman and have lost to Watertown-Mayer, North Branch, Monticello and St. Francis while tying Princeton, Willmar and Becker.

Boys Soccer

The Big Lake boys soccer team improved to 2-6-2 with a 3-3 tie against Chisago Lakes Monday. The boys have beat St. Paul Johnson and North Branch and have lost to Rockford/HLWW, Watertown-Mayer, Princeton, Zimmerman, Monticello and St. Francis. Their ties have been with Heritage Christian and Chsiago Lakes.

Volleyball

The Hornet girls volleyball team lost just their second match Tuesday when they fell 3-1 to Cambridge-Isanti on the road. However, they sit in second place in the Mississippi 8 Conference at 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the M8 behind Chisago Lakes, who is 7-4 overall with a 3-0 conference record.

The girls have beaten St. Cloud Tech, Mound Westonka, Monticello, Maranatha, Becker and St. Francis and have lost to Delano and C-I.

Girls Tennis

The Hornet girls tennis fell 7-0 to North Branch last Thursday night in a Mississippi 8 conference matchup and remained winless in 2021.
