The Big Lake boys basketball team had a pair of Mississippi 8 Conference games this past week. They split the two by beating Princeton and falling to Zimmerman.
Last Thursday, the boys travelled to Princeton and came home with an 80-70 victory over the Tigers. All 80 points were scored by the starting lineup, with all five starters scoring in double figures. Owen Wilczek and Aidan Johnson led the way with 25 and 20, followed by Trevor Maruska with 13, Owen Layton with 12, and Isaiah Terlinden with 10.
On Monday, the team travelled to Zimmerman and lost 64-60.
Next up the team will look to get revenge on Friday against St. Francis, who defeated the Hornets earlier this season.
