Hill, Bulldogs Serve Up 2 Wins

The Becker girls volleyball team (8-3) went 2-0 this week, beating Cambridge-Isanti in five sets Tuesday, then sweeping Chisago Lakes Thursday on the road.

Becker 3, C-I 2

Allie Hill had eight aces and nine kills in the victory. Kady Lindbom registered 17 digs and 18 kills as she flew around the court. Ellie Wenner had 25 assists.

The first set went to C-I by a score of 25-18. Becker rebounded to win set two, 25-17. The Bulldogs made it 2-1 with an exciting, 25-22 win in the third set. The Bluejackets  (6-10) bounced back with a 25-22 win in the fourth to tie the match at two but Becker held on in the fifth set, winning 15-11.

Freshman Evelyn Kreft  recorded five blocks and Kyanna Marx notched 22 digs in the win.

No other information was reported to the Citizen-Tribune by press time.

Lindbom leads the team with 115 kills and two solo blocks. Wenner is the team leader in set assists with 146. Allie Hill leads the team with 24 service aces. Marx has 86 digs on the season to lead the Bulldogs and Kreft has 22 total blocks.
