The Becker bulldog girls gymnastics team competed well but finished in fifth place (142.825) at the state gymnastics tournament at the Sports Pavillion at the U of M.
Detroit Lakes took home the title with 150.025 points and Melrose area taking second place with 149.200.
Lindsay Olsen, Miranda O'Brien, Marlee Louden, Megan Murphy, Hannah Schmidt, Kylee Pudas, Haley Hubbard and Haley Olsen gave their all Friday afternoon but the team came up short by nearly eight points.
Individual state competition continues today (Saturday) with O'Brien, Murphy, Olsen and Hubbard competing.
Becker finished with a 37.100 on vault, a 33.000 on bars, a 35.250 on beam and an incredible 37.475 on floor.
