Becker’s #2 doubles team had a clean sweep in their match while #3 singles player Ashley Souba was extended to a third set but prevailed as Becker dispatched of Little Falls to gain their 13th team win of the year at home Thursday afternoon.
Ellie Tobako and Madison Anderson seem to have forged a powerful duo at #2 doubles as they waltzed through their match over Lindsey Schneider and Lydia Lange, 6-0, 6-0. At #1 doubles, Lindsey Lorette and Rachel Lukkarilla appear to have found the same magic as they struggled in the first set, but cruised after that in beating Mikayla Gottwalt and Rachel Reis, 7-6, 6-1.
At #3 doubles, Shelby Huebert and Kayla Wilken had no problem with Sophie Jorgenson and Kristen Athman as they handily won their match, 6-2, 6-0 to complete the doubles sweep.
At #1 singles, Olivia Hultgren took care of business by beating Arielle Emerson, 6-2, 6-1. Kaitlyn Suckert’s foe at #2 singles was a tough one but Suckert prevailed with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Angela Meschke.
Souba’s three-set come-from-behind win (3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2 over Katelynn Kanieski was admirable and Aundria Howard kept the team undefeated on the day with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Grace Schulte.
Becker 6, Aitkin 1
The Bulldogs continued their courtly dominance as they drubbed Aitkin on the road Tuesday.
Hultgren, playing at #1 singles, was the only Bulldog player to lose their match, though she fought valiantly in her loss to Claire Browning, 3-6, 3-6.
Browning is ranked No. 2 in the Class 1A individual rankings. She is 12-0 this season and just collected her 100th career victory recently.
Suckert (at #2 singles) and Souba (at #3 singles) took care of the Courtemanche sisters (Elise and Nikki) in straight sets 6-1, 5-0 (Elise) and 6-0, 6-4 (Nikki). Howard had little problem with Brynn Wilson, beating her in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0.

Tobako and Anderson had a tough match as well, beating Lydia Browning and Bethany Kinzer, 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 to win at #2 doubles.
