Becker Girls Soccer travelled Oct. 5 and played against Cathedral and won by only one point making Becker Girls Soccer Conference Champions!
The one point scored was by Junior Claire Voigt, who scored by stealing the ball off of a pass by the other team. She dribbled it and scored during the first half, making the only point for the entire game.
This caused the second half of the game to be intense as Becker was only in the lead by one point and Cathedral could tie the game up at any moment.
The ball changed possessions between the teams evenly, making the game a back and forth type of game.
Aiden Bauer, Becker’s goalie had a really great game and so did Becker’s defensive line as they were playing amazingly well and prevented Cathedral from making points.
Cathedral did make an attempt for a goal, but their shot hit the top bar of the net and missed the goal.
The game continued going back and forth, with Cathedral wanting to tie the game up and Becker wanting to keep their point lead. The audience sat with anticipation waiting to see what would happen.
As the game ended. Becker had turned out victorious and went home being named Conference Champions!
