Girls Jv Lacrosse Team Continues Winning Streak

The Becker Bulldogs JV girls lacrosse team continues its winning streak, overcoming their Buffalo opponent 14-3 during their home match Tuesday night, as well as beating the Rogers Royals 12-2 at their match Thursday night.

“Makenna Thelen had an awesome night in the goal,” said Head Coach Anicca Lundeen.

Although the girls varsity lacrosse team played well, they didn’t achieve the same success as the JV team.

Tuesday night they also played Buffalo.

“We lost Tuesday in our home opener 19-1 to an extremely good Buffalo team,” said Lundeen.

Thursday the Bulldogs were in Rogers, and again the team played a good game. Although they ultimately lost 11-7 to the Rogers Royals, goalie Katie Krisko had 17 saves.

“After what happened Tuesday we feel like we bounced back and will be ready to play Brainerd on Thursday at their place,” said Lundeen.

The JV and varsity girls lacrosse teams will next be headed to Brainerd to compete against their team on May 2.
