BECKER’S ALLIE HENDRICKSON (L) finished in third place with a personal record best time of 15:53.92 to help pace the girls cross country team to a first place win at home Tuesday afternoon. BECKER’S LUKE LAHR (R) finished in second place with a time of 17:00.98 to help pace the boys cross country team to a third place finish at home Tuesday afternoon.

Girls Cc Team Takes First In Home Meet

The Becker girls cross country team took home first place in their host tournament  at Pebble Creek Golf Course Tuesday afternoon. Girls Varsity The girl’s medalist was Rhianna Rinke (15:53.92) from North Branch. The Becker girls were paced by Alli Hendrickson, who placed third (15:53.92) with a PR time. 
 
Six Becker girls had PRs for the day.  Lexi Dehmer came in ninth (16:26.68), Tate Spinner placed 14th with a PR (16:59.18), Sydney Mastey was 21st (17:04.78) and Makenna Noaiell 30th (17:40.54). Jada Rositas achieved a PR for her time of 18:03.60 (39th place) and Ellie Schwartz came in 48th (18:30.79).  
 
“We are excited for these girls to win their home invitational,” said Head Coach Trish Reimer-Kealy. “It has been a number of years since our last win here. The atmosphere was fun, with the high school pep band playing and all the spectators.”  
 
Team scores:  Becker 77, Princeton 99, Big Lake 108, St Cloud Cathedral 111, Mora 114, North Branch 124, Pine City 126, Zimmerman 165 and Milaca 193.
 
Boys Varsity 
Nate Souther from Big Lake came in first (16:38.08) and Becker’s Luke Lahr was the second place runner (17:00.98). 
 
Becker’s Caleb Foster is consistently running well too and finished 10th (18:05.92). Jonathan Novak was 19th  (18:43.70), Dylan Gruba 23rd (19:12.00) and Olsen Pancoast 25th with a great finish (19:13.82). Sam Somrock placed 37th  (19:56.55) and Keith Sorensen 41st (20:29.63).
“The boys continue to challenge one another in their races,” said Reimer-Kealy.
 
Team scores: Mora 36, Big Lake 69, Becker 75, Pine City 95, Milaca 99,  North Branch 130. Princeton and Zimmerman were incomplete.
 
JV Girls 
The Becker girls JV team finished fourth with Haley Benda coming in 11th (18:20.12), Victoria Kolbinger 13th (18:25.31 PR), Renee Tripp 19th (18:40.87), Kayden Westin 20th (18:41.87 PR), Shannon Sydow 29th (19:34.12), Michaela Allen 32nd (19:39.66) and Jessica Sand 47th (20:45.24 PR).
 
Team scores: Monticello 30, St Cloud Cathedral 52, Pine City 779, Becker 91, Mora 119, Princeton,137, N. Branch 192.
 
Boys JV 
The Becker boys JV team finished fifth out of five teams with Devin Winter placing 14th (20:23.91), Nathan Sydow 43rd (22:09.43), Kyle Schroeder 44th (22:09.43), Logan Lahr 62nd (24:07.43) and Lachlan Lahr 64th (24:29.93).
 
Team scores: Mora 22, Big Lake 60, Milaca 70, N Branch 110, Becker 166.
 
Jr High Girls 
The Becker junior high girls took home second place with Callie Doucette capturing third place, Alli Garding fifth, Ashley May ninth, Erika Miner 15th, Bryanna Edling 19th, Laura Pancoast 24th, Grace Wilhelm 35th and Karly Kowalsky 36th.
 
Team scores: Monticello 36, Becker 36, Princeton 71, St Cloud Cathedral 82, Pine City, Big Lake, Milaca, North Branch were incomplete.
 
Jr High Boys
The Becker junior high boys team finished sixth with  Aaron Gregory taking 20th, Jake Nelson 29th, Blake Soenneker 32nd, Cris Rothfork 33rd, Jimmy Hines 45th and Adrian Johnson 55th.
 
Team scores: Big Lake 33, Monticello 49, Mora 52, Milaca 104, Pine City 130, Becker 133. 
 
The varsity boys and girls cross country teams travel to Alexandria Saturday for the Lions Invite and Tuesday head  to Albany for the Purple Pride meet.
 
Becker will host their conference meet at Pebble Creek in two weeks.
