The Becker girls golf team played two late matches last week, then played one Wednesday at Foley.

 

Last Friday, the Becker girls golf team played a nine-hole, non-conference meet at Stone Creek Golf Course against Little Falls, Milaca and Foley.

 

The Bulldogs finished first with a team score of 189.

 

Medalist honors went to Becker’s Hannah Garcia, who shot a 43.

 

Becker had six golfers vying to be one of the top four scorers to be counted in the match. Besides Garcia, Becker had Macy Erson shoot a 44, Ellie Goth a 47 and Jenna Voigt a 55. The other two golfers —Gretchen Graftaas and Hailey Uecker finished with a 58 and 62, respectively.

 

Team Scores: 1). Becker 189; 2). Milaca 194; 3). Foley 199; 4). Little Falls 242.

 

Last Thursday, the girls played in Little Falls in another four-team match and took home second place.

 

Brooke Lemke of Albany led all golfers with a solid 40. Becker’s Erson was the Bulldogs’ top golfer with a 47. Garcia had a 49, Goth a 54, Graftaas a 59, Voigt a 60 and Uecker a 63.

Wednesday, the Lady Bulldogs played in a two-player scramble in Annandale and finished fifth among 13 teams.

 

Becker’s top duo was the twosome of Garcia and Erson, who shot a 78. The top pair from the tournament were Orono’s Camille Kuznik and Hannah Gronberg and Hutchinson’s Alex Hantge and Meredith Girard  with 70s. 

 

Becker’s other duos were Goth and Voigt (86) and Kylee Rick and Graftaas (102).
