On Saturday, the Eagles hockey team hosted Breckenridge/Wahpeton and beat the Blades 3-0 behind a 24 save shutout from goalie Andrew Holm. Brayden Graning added two goals and an assist while Jase Tobako scored the other goal along with two assists.
The Eagles led 1-0 after the first period last Thursday against Princeton but were unable to hold onto their lead as they were ultimately defeated 7-1. The team was outshot 46-25 in the game and went 0-5 on the power play. Tanner Felton scored the lone goal for the team off assists from Tobako and Carter Tatge.
On Tuesday the team travelled to Cambridge for a conference matchup against the Bluejackets. The team struggled to get anything going offensively as they were defeated 9-2. The two goals were scored by Graning and Rylan Tobako.
Next up for the team are three straight road games starting this Thursday with a trip to Sauk Centre to take on Prairie Centre.
