The Becker Big Lake Eagles varsity hockey team lost an away game against the Little Falls Flyers Tuesday, 4-3.

 

Big Lake senior Brandon Christianson scored the first goal of the game  with an assist from Grant Vickerman for the Eagles with just one minute and nine seconds gone in the first period.

 

The Flyers came back to score two goals in the first period. They scored again in the second period while limiting the Eagles shots on goal. The Flyers came out and scored again less than a minute into the third period. 

 

The Eagles finally managed to battle back. Taylor Giving scored with assists from Alex Doran and Weston Schug at 2.20. Vickerman scored again for the Eagles at 13.23, but time ran out and the Flyers took the game.

 

Eagles goalie Justin Morrow has an .875 save percentage and stopped 28 shots on goal.

 

The Eagles take on Monticello at the Moose Sherritt Ice Arena Saturday at 3 p.m.
