At the conclusion of yesterday’s (Saturday’s) graduation ceremony for Tech High School, an altercation occurred between a group of spectators near the back corner of the River’s Edge Convention Center. Staff and law enforcement responded immediately, and the incident was quickly resolved.

“We are both disappointed in and frustrated by the behavior of some adult attendees,” the press release said. “This moment was meant to honor and celebrate our graduates, and it is deeply unfortunate that anyone chose to act in a way that detracted from that purpose.”

“We are grateful that the actions of those involved did not disrupt the ceremony or overshadow the achievements of our students. Our focus remains where it belongs, on the remarkable young people who crossed the stage yesterday and the bright futures ahead of them.”
