Eagles Fall To Tigers

The Becker-Big Lake Eagles Hockey team got off to a rough start this season with an 11-0 loss at Princeton Tuesday.

Goalie Justin Morrow kept the game close in the first period allowing just two goals, as the Tigers outshot the Eagles 22-0.

But Princeton scored 1:39 into the second period, then added three more in a two-minute span near the middle of the period for a 6-0 lead that put the game on ice. The score was 9-0 at the end of the seond period.

Morrow allowed two more goals in the final period, but turned away 46 shots.

Princeton finished with 95 shots on goal to the Eagles’ four.

The Eagles are 0-1 on the season. They play Legacy Christian Thursday at Schwan Super Rink in Blaine at 8 p.m.
