The St. Cloud Times last week announced their All-Area Girls Cross Country team for 2015.
Becker’s Lexi Dehmer made the list along with teammates Alli Hendrickson and Julia Bengtson. Dehmer is an eighth-grader, Hendrickson a freshman and Bengtson a seventh-grader.
Others making the All-Area team were: junior Anna Donnay of Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball; sophomore Jayda Woods of Rocori; seventh-grader Ingrid Buiceag-Arama of Sartell; senior Elizabeth Schlafke of Annandale; sophomore Jessica Sheer of Annandale and sophomore Emily Kasper of Annandale.
The honorable mention candidates beside Bengtson and Hendrickson were: freshman Julia Karls of St. Cloud Apollo; freshman Colette Jemming of Sartell; freshman Annamaria Tomovic of Rocori; junior Vera Lindhorst of St. Cloud Tech and freshman Jerica Ploeger of Milaca.
Dehmer won the Granite Ridge Conference title with a season-best time of 19:30. She took 15th at the Section 8-2A meet, 88th in the Class AA state meet with a time of 19:48 and has lettered both seasons she has been part of her cross country team.
