The Becker Dazzler dance team unveiled their new high kick routine for 2013-14 when they donned their black, grey and red uniforms and warpaint and dazzled the fans during halftime of last Friday’s boys basketball game against Zimmerman.
The Dazzlers - who are promoting their new team mantra “fierce” - marched across the floor in a more serious demeanor than last year in hopes of flashing that “dominant force” judges will be looking for. In halftime exercises, they will continue to fine-tune their routine so they compete with the likes of Cathedral and other reigning championship schools.
The Dazzlers are comprised of 14 dancers on the varsity squad and are coached by Laura Anderson, Julie Baloun and Bridget Teigland.
Their next dance event is today (Saturday) at Albany and then Thursday back at home where they will perform a dance duel during halftimes of both the JV and varsity boys basketball games.
