Consistent Playing Seen By Girls Golf Team

 
Although it seems like The Becker Bulldogs Girls Golf team competed in two meets this week, with Tuesday’s invitational at Wild Marsh Golf Club in Buffalo canceled due to the weather.
 
Monday saw the team headed to Wapicada Golf Course in Sauk Rapids to play in a Granite Ridge Conference meet against rivals Albany, St. Cloud Cathedral, Foley, Little Falls, Milaca and Mora.
 
The Bulldogs played well, finishing in fourth place with a top four score of 418. St. Cloud Cathedral won the meet with a top four score of 394. Milaca was second with 395 and Albany was third with a top four score of 402.
 
Leading the team were Ashley Reed and Gretchen Graftaas, both with a score of 98. Kylee Rick was next with a score of 103, followed by Evelyn Eich with 119, Emma Benson with 122 and Avery Johnson with 129.
 
On the JV team, Alexa Voller played individually, finishing the meet with a score of 114.
 
Thursday saw the Bulldogs competing in another Granite Ridge Conference, this time in Milaca competing against the same rivals as Monday. 
 
Playing well, they again finished in fourth place, this time with a top four score of 416. Albany placed first with a score of 368, Milaca was second with 389 and St. Cloud Cathedral placed third with a score of 400.
 
Ashley Reed again led the team, this time with a final score of 95. Kylee Rick came in next with a score of 104, followed by Gretchen Graftaas with 107, Emma Benson with 110, Alexa Voller with 114 and Avery Johnson with 124.
 
After three GRC meets, four Bulldogs are ranked in the top 20 in Conference standings. Ranked ninth is Ashley Reed, 13th is Gretchen Graftaas, followed by Evelyn Eich ranked at 14th and Kylee Rick at 19th.
 
Up next for the Becker Bulldogs Girls Golf team is a meet at Spring Brook Golf Course in Mora May 7; the meet was rescheduled from its original date of April 22.
