The Clear Lake Lakers baseball team dropped two games this past week, falling to 1-2 on the year.
Foley 15, Clear Lake 5
Ean VonWald was 4-for-5 to lead host Foley to 10-run victory over Clear Lake in seven innings last Saturday.
Brandon Holthaus, Mike Plante and Sam Keeler all had three hits for the Lumberjacks.
Plante also picked up the win on the mound.
St. Joseph 15, Clear Lake 8
Shortstop Joey Stock went 4-for-6 with three runs and a two-run homer in the second to lead St. Joseph (1-3 Sauk Valley, 2-4 overall) May 15 at home.
Center fielder Ethan Carlson was 3-for-5 with six RBI, including a fourth-inning grand slam, for the Joes. Winning pitcher was Greg Anderson.
Jake Samuelson went 3-for-5 with a fifth-inning grand slam for Clear Lake.
