Clayba Willie Mays Wins Second Consecutive Championship

The Clear Lake Youth Baseball Association (CLAYBA) wrapped up an outstanding season with the Willie Mays team winning their second consecutive championship. The Willie Mays team beat out the only team to have won against them in the regular season, Becker 3, 14-11 in the semifinal game. In the championship game they went on to defeat Becker 4 with a score of 8-4, bringing home their second consecutive championship. They finished out the regular season with a 13 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie record.
 
Both 12U teams competed in their year-end tournament this past weekend. In their second playoff game the 12U Red team won against the only undefeated team in the 12U league with a score of 2-1, finishing their season with 3 wins, 11 losses.
 
The 12U Blue team advanced to the quarterfinals but were defeated, finishing their season with 11 wins and 3 losses.
 
The 15U team lost their first playoff game to Champlin with a score of 13-7, finishing the regular season in third place with a record of 10 wins, 6 losses.
