BECKER’S ALISON CIESLAK scored 31 points in two games this past week, helping the Lady bulldogs win one of two games and improve to 6-5 on the season.
Guard Whitney Raygor also had an impressive week scoring as she drained 17 points in the two games including 14 against St. Cloud Tuesday.

Cieslak Helps Lady Bulldogs Take One Of Two

The Becker Bulldog girls basketball team went 1-1 in two games this week, improving their season record to 6-5.

Wildcats 65, Bulldogs 50
 
Becker got 17 points from Alison Cieslak but it wasn’t enough for the Bulldogs to overcome the Wildcats of Chisago Lakes on the road.
 
The Wildcats got 24 from Bryanna Fernstrom and 17 points from Sarah Greene to topple the Bulldogs, 65-50.

Chisago Lakes Scoring: Fernstrom 24, Greene 17, Carmen Backes 12, Danielle Berg 8, Anna Peters 2 and Marissa Kari 2.
 
Becker 70, St. Cloud 37
 
Three Lady bulldogs scored 14 points apiece as Becker rolled to an easy victory over St. Cloud Cathedral Tuesday night at home.
 
Mauren Thiesen, Whitney Raygor and Alison Cieslak all had big games as the Bulldogs turned a six-point lead at halftime into a 33-point trouncing of the Crusaders, 70-37.
 
A dozen Bulldog players made the score sheet Tuesday as Head Coach Paul Lindsay emptied his bench as soon as the game got out of hand in the second half. That’s when the home squad poured in 43 points to St. Cloud’s 16 in the final stanza.

The girls played Friday at Little Falls and at home Saturday against North St. Paul (full report on both games in next week’s Citizen), then play three  home games next week against Monticello Tuesday, Foley Thursday and St. Francis Saturday.
