Bulldogs Split With Crusaders, Thunder

The Bulldog boys basketball team split two games this week, one at home and one on the road.
 
Bulldogs 57, Thunder 45
 
Becker traveled to Zimmerman Tuesday night and came away with a 12-point win.
 
 Zimmerman (5-7 conference, 6-16 overall) was led by Taylor McEachern with 13 points and Thunder Heyer and Chandler Wellman with 10 each.
 
No other information was made available to the Citizen by press time.
 
Cathedral 66, Becker 57
 
Brindley Theisen and Jack Schramel each scored 19 points for Cathedral in its win over host Becker last Friday night.
 
Michael Veldman led the Bulldogs with 16 points and Dawson Brown added 14.
 
Bryant Bohlig finished with 16 points for the Crusaders (11-1 Granite Ridge, 19-4 overall).
 
Becker led 25-23 at halftime, but the Crusaders hit eight three-pointers in the second half.
 
Becker is now 10-15 overall and 8-5 in the Granite Ridge Conference.
 
Becker’s final regular season game of the year was Friday at Mora (full report on game in next week’s Citizen). 
 
Section 5AAA play begins with seeding Sunday and quarterfinal rounds Thursday at the highest seeded team’s home court, semi-final rounds Saturday at SCSU and finals the following Thursday at SCSU.
