The Bulldog boys basketball team split two games this past week and are now 9-14 on the year. They remain in fourth place on the Granite Ridge Conference with a 7-4 record.
Flyers 70, Bulldogs 56
Thomas Bell had 17 points to lead Little Falls past Becker in a Granite Ridge Conference game at the Little Falls Jamboree last Saturday.
Michael Veldman led all Bulldog scorers with 18. Cody Gruenhagen contributed seven in the loss.
Riley Loukinen added 11 points for Little Falls.
The Flyers, who trailed 34-30 at halftime, outscored Becker 40-22 in the second half.
Becker Scoring: Veldman 18, Matt Yoerg 10, Dillon Radunz 9, Cody Gruenhagen 7, Jake Fobbe 6, Blake Barthel 4, Andrew Davalos 1 and Zach Moeller 1.
The Bulldogs shot 33% from the field and 62% from the charity stripe.
Little Falls Scoring: Bell 17, Riley Loukinen 11, Bryce Zawatzke 10, Kyle Kabanuk 9, Kyler Erdman 9, John Lukasavitz 6, Thomas Kornbaum 4 and Noah Jones 4.
Little Falls (13-9, 8-3) shot 49% from the field and 65% from the free throw line.
Becker 68, Foley 39
Veldman led the host Bulldogs to a win over the Falcons with 23 points Tuesday night.
Clayton Gallus and Dillon Radunz each had nine as Becker had nine players make the scoresheet.
Alex Boeckman tallied a team-best 14 points for Foley. Andrew Klucas added 10.
Becker Scoring: Veldman 23, Radunz 9, Gallus 9, Zack Moeller 7, Dawson Brown 6, Matt Yoerg 5, Andrew Davalos 4, Jake Fobbe 3 and Blake Barthel 2.
Foley Scoring: Boeckman 14, Klucas 10, Cameron Jurek 7, Jonathan Greener 3, Dalton Bialke 2, Devyn Fox 2 and Kyle Kipka 1.
Becker (9-13) hosted Foley Friday night (full report on game in next week’s Citizen), then hits the road next week for two games to close out the regular season.
Tuesday, they play Zimmerman and Friday they take on the Mustangs of Mora.
