The Becker Bulldog boys basketball team bookended two wins around two losses this past week to bump their record to 7-11 (5-2).

 

 

Michael Veldman scored 21 points for Becker in a win over Zimmerman Thursday at home.

 

Blake Barthel added 14 points, Dawson Brown had 16 and Dillon Radunz added 12 for the Bulldogs.

 

Becker led 54-22 at halftime and had 11 players make the scoresheet in the 22-point win. Taylor McEachern led the Thunder with 15.

 

Becker Scoring: Veldman 21, Brown 16, Barthel 14, Radunz 12, Andrew Davalos 7, Matt Yoerg 6, Zack Moeller 4, Clayton Gallus 3, Jake Fobbe 3, Cody Gruenhagen 2 and Tanner Niedenfuehr 2.

 

Zimmerman Scoring: McEachern 15, Erik Gruhlke 12, Damie Vangstad 12, Mathew Jacobson 8, Chandler Wellman 4 and Mack Riley 1.

 

 

Senior forward Tyler Frie had 19 points to lead the Magic past Becker in a nonconference game Tuesday night in Monticello.

 

Freshman guard Matt Todd had 15 points for the Magic (11-6 overall).

 

Senior guard Dawson Brown had 18 points to lead Becker.

 

Monticello led 34-22 at halftime.

Austin Neisen's only basket of the game came as a game-winner for Delano in the final second of regulation Saturday in Becker.

 

Sean Campbell led the Tigers with 13 points.

 

The Bulldogs were led by Matt Yoerg, who tallied 17 points.

Delano Scoring: Campbell 13, Matt Kreklow 13, Nick Cayler 13, Calvin Wishart 9, Nate Norman 2, Neisen 2 and Logan Pulis 2.

 

 

BECKER – Matt Yoerg (16), Zack Moeller (16), Mike Veldman (14) and Blake Barthel (12) all scored in double digits to help the Bulldogs defeat the Mustangs (4-11) last Friday night at home.

 

Brandon Mann had 18 points and Keyan Weaver added 10 for the Mustangs.

 

Becker led 53-27 at halftime and poured it on in the second half, outscoring the Mustangs by 15.
