The Bulldogs baseball team played three games this week, going 2-1 with one game undecided.
Game Suspended
Thursday, Becker took on Zimmerman on the road and the game was suspended after seven innings, tied at eight, and will be completed at a later date.
Becker 8, Princeton 7
Monday, Becker traveled to Princeton to take on the Tigers and pulled out a one-run win late in the game.
The contest was tied at seven with Becker batting in the top of the ninth. Noah Mohs doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Mohs collected four hits in five at bats to help lead the Bulldogs to victory. Mohs singled in the fourth, singled in the sixth, singled in the seventh, and doubled in the ninth.
Princeton opened up scoring in the first inning, when Tim Wesely's sac fly scored one run.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Princeton tied things up at seven when Luke Chase singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Becker put up five runs in the sixth inning, with the rally being led by singles by Mohs, Mitchell Louden, Camron Fisher and Jackson Thorn.
Andrew Kolbinger got the win for Becker on the mound. He surrendered one run on five hits over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Dawson Hill and Jeremey Laugen entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Wesely took the loss for Princeton. He went nine innings, allowing eight runs on 14 hits, striking out three and walking zero.
Mohs, Lucas Eigen, Louden, Zack Wenner, and Thorn each managed multiple hits for Becker.
Nick Stenoien went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Princeton in hits.
Becker 2, Milaca 1
Two Becker pitchers worked together to earn a no-hitter victory for Becker against Milaca Monday on the road.
Dalton Fouquette struck out Rosenberg to get the last out of the game.
The Bulldogs didn't take the lead until later in the game.
Fouquette earned the victory on the mound for the Bulldogs allowing zero hits and one run over four innings, striking out six and walking one.
Drew Tallber took the loss for Milaca. He allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out seven.
Andrew Kolbinger started the game for Becker. He lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking zero.
Fouquette went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Becker.
Rosenberg went 0-for-3 and had the lone RBI for the Wolves.
Cathedral 4, Becker 3
In a back-and-forth game Tuesday at home, the Bulldogs lost the lead late in a one-run defeat to St. Cloud Cathedral.
The game was tied at three with Cathedral batting in the top of the seventh when Jon Bell grounded out, scoring one run.
Cathedral got on the board in the first inning, scoring one run when Eric Faust doubled.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Bulldogs tied things up at three when Lucas Eigen singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Scheider was the winning pitcher for St. Cloud. He went seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out three.
Zack Wenner took the loss for Becker. He surrendered one run on one hit over two innings, walking zero.
Camron Fisher started the game for Becker. He went five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking zero
Wenner, Dalton Fouquette, James Schafer, Jackson Thorn, Mitchell Louden, and Eigen each collected one hit to lead the Bulldogs.
Cathedral scattered eight hits in the game. Faust, Bell, and Larson all collected multiple hits for St. Cloud.
