BECKER SOPHOMORE AMANDA LINDSAY scored 11 points in Becker’s 13-point victory over Litchfield last Friday night in a non-conference game. The win improved the Bulldogs’ record to 3-4.

Bulldogs Down Dragons By 13

A back-and-forth game for the first 26 minutes suddenly turned Becker’s way as the Bulldogs (3-4) used a late 25-12 run to upend Litchfield 74-61 in a non-conference game last Friday night on the road.

The Bulldogs led 27-26 at halftime and the game was tied at 49-49 with 10 minutes remaining. But sparked by Mauren Thiesen, Becker ended the game outscoring the Dragons by 13.
 
Thiesen finished with 26 points as both squads had three players score in double figures. Pacing Litchfield in the scoring column were Kyndra Beavers with 16, Mariah Hoff 14 and Macy Huhner 13. Tasha Stubeda grabbed a team-high seven rebounds for the Dragons.
 
Amanda Lindsay added 11 and Whitney Raygor 10 for the Bulldogs.
 
Becker tallied 26 field goals including eight three-pointers along with going 14-of-24 from the free point line. They also finished with 27 rebounds.
 
Becker Scoring:
Thiesen 26, Lindsay 11, Raygor 10, Ashley Neuwirth 8, Maesyn Thiesen 7, Carlee Kobow 6, Allison Cieslak 5 and Alexa Hanowski 1.
 
Litchfield Scoring:
Beavers 16, Mariah Hoff 14, Macy Huhner 13, Kelsey Wattenhofer 6, Grace Spanos 3, Breanna Sittig 3, Brynna Goraczkowski 2, Ashley Warren 2 and Tasha Stubeda 2.
 
Becker’s game against Holy Family was re-scheduled for Feb. 10 due to cancellation of school and activities Monday. 
 
The Bulldogs played Friday in Mora (full report on game in next week’s Citizen), then come home for a game against Zimmerman Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
