In a pair of nail-biters, the Becker tennis team took home a matching set of 4-3 wins this week, defeating both the Buffalo Bison and Mound-Westonka.
In the win over Buffalo, Becker won the 2-4 singles matches with Lauren Croal, Gracie Conzemius and Emily Huffman showing great poise to seal their wins. Croal crusied to the 6-2, 6-3 win, while Conzemius was a 6-2, 3-6, 10-6 winner. Huffman won her match in comeback fashion, 5-7, 6-2, 10-5.
Chloe Spear and Faith Bass teamed up in the #2 doubles match to secure a 6-2, 7-5 win and seal the team victory.
In the match against Mound-Westonka, Conzemius was the lone singles winner, taking a 7-6, 7-5 exciting win.
But the doubles teams all came through to help seal the deal for the Bulldogs.
Ali Groskreutz and Payton Enerson won the #1 match, 6-1, 6-1 in dominant fashion.
They were followed by the Spear/Bass duo, who won another dominant match, 6-0, 6-3.
In the #3 match, Huffman andTess Brown secured a 6-1, 6-2 win to help the Bulldogs over the top.
