It’s been a busy stretch of games for the Becker girls tennis team, as they went 4-1 in five matches. Monday, the Bulldogs were perfect, picking up three wins over Zimmerman, Thief River Falls and North Branch.
Vs. Zimmerman
In the M8 Conference win over the Thunder, Becker won 7-0 and lost just five games total in the rout. Singles winners included Ava Duncombe, Lauren Croal, Gracie Conzemius and Arica Stah. Doubles team victors were: Ali Groskreutz/Payton Enerson, Chloe Spear/Faith Bass and Emily Huffman/Kierra Pfingsten.
Vs. Thief River Falls
Becker was also dominant against Thief River Falls, winning 6-1. The top two doubles teams won again for Becker, while Olivia Nieken Teamed up with Huffman to win the #3 match. Croal, Conzemius and Stach were winners in the singles matches.
Vs. North Branch
The Bulldogs kept the day perfect with a 5-2 win over the Vikings, as Duncombe and Croal won the top two singles matches and Groskreutz/Bass, Enerson/Spear and Tess Brown/Nieken won the doubles matches.
Vs. Pine City
Last Thursday, Becker edged Pine City 4-3 in a battle of top teams from Central Minnesota.
This time, it was Conzemius and Stah winning the #3 and #4 singles matches, respectively, while Enerson/Spear won the #2 doubles match. Nieken teamed up with Brown in the #3 doubles match which proved to be the deciding factor.
Vs. St, Francis
Becker then fell to St. Francis, 3-4, in a battle of top Mississippi 8 teams.
Croal and Conzemius were singles winners, while Nieken and Brown teamed up for the #3 doubles win.
