Bulldog girls track wins again

Last week was another meet and another win for the Becker girls track team, as they finished atop a five squad field en route the resounding victory.

The Bulldogs finished with 105 points, followed by Chisago Lakes (92), Zimmerman (44), St. Francis (27) and Big Lake (25).

Josie Reckelberg placed in all four of her events, taking first in both the 200 (28.69) and then the 4x200 relay with teammates Kailey Thompson, Kylee Morton and Salayna Allen (1:52.92).  She finished second in the triple jump (31’4”) and third in the long jump (15’2 1/4”).

Lauren Woelfel took first in the pole vault with an outstanding vault of 10’9”, while she finished second in the 55 hurdles (9.74) and fourth in the triple jump (30’10.75).

In the 800, Becker finished in the top two spots with Adele Changamire taking the top spot and Alexis Rose close behind. 

In the 400, Becker was even more impressive, taking the top three spots: Andie Changamire first (64.65), Katelyn Brower second (67.11) and Kaylyn Rickard third (67.15).Sylvia Stoeckel finished in fifth (68.74) in the same event.

Other Bulldog finishes included: Allen placing third in the 55 (7.92), Abby Atwood fourth in the 200 (29.17), Alea Briggs fourth in the 1600 (5:36.82), Thompson fourth in the 55 hurdles (10.16), Bella Kuschel fourth in high jump (4’8”), Morton fourth in long jump (15’5”) and Ella Tschida fifth in the shot put (38’7.5”).

“All of our relays took first place,” said coach Trish Reimer-Kealy.

The 4x400 team of Rose, Katelyn Brower, Adele Changamire and Alea Briggs ran a time of 4:23.96.

“The 4x800 team of Andi Changamire, Adele Changamire, Rose, and Briggs ran a time of 10;07.82 which gave this team a place on Becker’s all-time list,” Reimer-Kealy added.  “Also earning spots on this list so far this year are Alea Briggs in the 1600, Ella Tschida in the shot put and the 4x200 relay team of Reckelberg, Morton, Raelee Lyon and Allen.”
