The Becker boys track team finished second at a Mississippi 8 Conference Triangular last week, scoring 94 points, with Monticello winning the meet with 123.5 points.
Becker’s 4x800 relay got the meet off on the right foot with a win in a time of 8:36.46, as Tanner Felton, Alex Kinney, Evan Hubbard, and Parker Spindler took the title.
Winning the 110 and 300 hurdles for the Bulldogs was Owen Angell, and he also placed second in the high jump. Felton picked up a second in the 800, and Ethan Basgall and Sam Hansen took second and third in the 400 meters, respectively.
Carter Reckelberg won the 200 and placed second in the 100 before teaming up with Mitchel Soltau, Isiah Boyer, and Tarver Schendzielos to take second place in the 4x200 meter relay. Spindler also won the 3200 in 10:30 and helped the 4x400 team to a second place finish along with Isiah Boyer, Tanner Felton, and Brant Hemmelgarn.
On the field event side, Hunter Youngdahl placed second in the long jump with a leap of 18’9” and Jacob Williams was second in the Pole Vault with a vault of 10’.
The Bulldogs had a pair of meets this week, including at Pillager on Thursday.
