The Hornet swim and dive team had their first competition of the year on August 22 at St. Cloud Apollo High School. The team had a number of strong individual performances, including multiple first place finishes. Other schools in attendance were Princeton, Holdingford, and Apollo.
Emily Edlund won both the 50-meter freestyle and the 100-meter butterfly. Adelyn Fox finished runner-up in both the 50-m freestyle and the 100-m freestyle. Piper Fridgen was second in the 200-m freestyle and third in the 500-m freestyle. And Torri Ramert picked up where she left off from last year and dominated in the 1-meter dive event.
Next up for the team are two home meets this week. On Thursday, the team will welcome Monticello to town for a conference meet. Then, next Monday they will host the Milaca Wolves.
