The Hornets saw their season come to a close on Monday when they were defeated 16-4 by the Becker Bulldogs in the first round of the section playoffs. Big Lake trailed 5-0 after the first quarter and could never close that gap. 

Kaelyn Besler scored two goals, Amelia Gardner added one, and Hvsotte Yahola found the back of the net once as well. 

Last Wednesday the team closed out the regular season with a 14-4 win over Columbia Heights. 

Gardner scored four times in the game, Yahola added three goals and an assist, and Amber Grunewald and Mackenzie Dembinski each scored twice. Sloane Griesert, Kathleen Jones, and Besler each contributed one goal. Ava Wellberg, Abigail Polacec, and Dembinski each had an assist.
