Becker wrestlers took home another win last Friday by beating HowardLake-Waverly-Winsted and ForestLake in a triangular at Becker.
All three teams fought hard, but Becker ultimately came home the victor.
The first round began with Becker wrestling HowardLake-Waverly-Winsted. Boston Kuschel from Becker started the night off with a fall against his opponent Ryker Clobes which earned him a total of six team points. Following was Owen Ochs, who received six points when his HLWW competitor forfeited. Bennett Kujawa was ready for his match as he took out his opponent, Gabriel Michels, in a 14-4 major decision. Becker’s team score consisted of 16 points while HLWW remained at zero.
Jackson Fischer, Drew May, and Jake Rosenow ended their matches with their HLWW opponents forfeiting. Brayden Boots beat his HLWW competitor with a 4-3 decision, which increased Becker’s team score by three points.
Kaden Nicolas wrestled his HLWW competitor, Tony Baumann, into a 13-5 major decision. By earning a total of four points, Nicolas boosted Becker’s team score. Logan Jarvis was the last Becker wrestler to score for the team. His match ended with his HLWW opponent forfeiting.
In the end, Becker managed to beat HLWW, 47-21.
Becker’s next dual meet was against Forest Lake. Boston Kuschel and Bennett Kujawa both were able to pin their opponents, which earned Becker a total of 12 team points. Andrew Fisher’s match followed with his Forest Lake Opponent forfeiting. Brayden Boots managed a 14-5 major decision after he wrestled Kody Kohoutek. Kaden Nicolas and Drew May from Becker came out victorious in their matches. Nicolas received a 2-0 decision, while May received a 4-2 decision.
Following both those wins was Landen Kujawa, who pinned his opponent, Dayton Dale in a second round fall. Becker’s score was 29 points at this point. Logan Jarvis beat his opponent in a 5-1 decision, which earned Becker a total of three points. Aiden Golley was the last Becker wrestler to score and his match ended with a 10-1 major decision against Tommy Cubus.
The final score was 41-22.
