MORA – Cody Gruenhagen was 2-for-4 with a home run in third inning to lead Becker over the Mustangs on the road Tuesday. 

 

Gruenhagen also pitched all seven innings to earn the win.

 

Clayton Gallus was 2-for-3 with a double for the Bulldogs (7-6).

 

Austin Peterson was 4-for-4 with a home run to lead Mora.

 

 

Senior right-hander Shane Olmscheid tossed a two-hit shutout to lead Albany (7-2 Granite Ridge, 11-3 overall) to a 2-0 Granite Ridge Conference win over host Becker Monday night.

 

Olmscheid struck out eight, walked none and hit three batters. He allowed singles in the third and fifth innings.

 

Andrew Stanger threw five innings and took the loss for Becker. He gave up one run, six hits and struck out six. 

 

Stanger and Matt Yoerg both went 1-for-2 for the Bulldogs in the loss.

 

Nick Mergen led the Huskies by going 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Taylor Fourre was 2-for-4.

 

Thursday’s doubleheader at Foley was cancelled due to inclement weather. Becker finishes out the regular season at home next week as they host Rogers Monday, Little Falls Tuesday and Big Lake Thursday.
