The Becker boys baseball team struggled this week, dropping four games to Cathedral, Monticello and a doubleheader to Little Falls.
Magic 4, Bulldogs 1
Becker hosted the Monticello Magic Friday and stayed in the game until the end when Monticello pulled away late to win by three.
Becker lost despite out-hitting Monticello six to four.
In the top of the fourth inning with Becker ahead, Monticello tied things up at one when Pribyl doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
The game stayed tied at one when Monticello’s Isaac Frandsen drew a walk, scoring one run in the fifth.
Thomas Van Culin took the win for Monticello. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over two innings, striking out two and walking one.
Dalton Fouquette took the loss for Becker. He surrendered three runs on two hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
Tommy Blackstone started the game for Monticello. He allowed three hits and one run over three innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Andrew Kolbinger started the game for Becker and lasted three and a third innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out one.
Fouquette led the Bulldogs with three hits in three at bats.
Cathedral 4, Becker 2
Becker played well and kept the score tight, but St. Cloud Cathedral pulled away late in a 4-2 victory Monday on the road.
The game was tied at two in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for Cathedral.
Becker lost despite out-hitting Cathedral five to three.
Becker got off to a good start in the second inning when Cameron Fischer drove in one with a single.
Weisser was the winning pitcher for St. Cloud. He lasted six innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out four. Jackson Jangula threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen and earned the save.

Little Falls 10, Becker 3, Game One
Becker fell behind early and couldn't come back in a seven-run loss to Little Falls Tuesday in game one of a doubleheader on the road.
Little Falls took advantage of three errors, and a double by Sam Nagel in the second inning to jump ahead. The Bulldogs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Little Falls, giving up double-digit runs.
Travis Wenzel was credited with the victory for the Flyers. He lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out five and walking one.
Fouquette took the loss for Becker, lasting one and one-third innings, allowing two hits and six runs while striking out three.
James Schafer went 2-for-4 at the plate for Becker.
Little Falls 7, Becker 1, Game Two
Becker fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-1 loss to Little Falls in game two of the doubleheader.
Little Falls fired up the offense in the first inning, when Sam Nagel's sacrifice fly scored one run for the Flyers. They scored five runs in the seventh inning with Caleb Straek and Sam Nagel contributing with RBIs.
Nagel was credited with the victory for Little Falls. He went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out six and walking one.
Kolbinger took the loss for the Bulldogs. He allowed four hits and six runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out four.
Noah Mohs went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Becker.
Straek led Little Falls with three hits in three at bats.
