Laura Anderson, Becker Dazzlers Head Coach, has resigned her coaching position due to “personal and professional reasons relating to an ever-increasing workload and travel 5-6 days a week to and from the cities,” she said.
“This was a very difficult decision for me, but one I needed to make.”
According to Anderson and other sources, some other team members have also left the team but Anderson says that kind of thing happens “in every sport.”
Last year’s assistants — Julie Baloun and Nadia Fischer-Danielson — will take over the coaching duties for the 2015-16 team.
Anderson said she will be in communication with — and assisting the coaches to make for a smooth transition.
“I am excited for the team and the season ahead,” Anderson said. “With coaches Julie Baloun and Nadia Fischer-Danziesen and captains Mikayla Henkemeyer and Morgan Meyer leading the team, I anticipate great things for the Dazzlers.
The team is set to begin practices for the upcoming season in the next few weeks.
