The Becker Blast 12U Gold softball team has had a great season and will be playing in the Northern Nationals in Eagan July 20-23.
The girls have a team record of 20-7-2 and they qualified for nationals by going undefeated and winning the Big Lake Icebreaker Tournament in mid-May. The team also went 5-1 and finished in fifth place at the Freedom Days Tournament in June.
During the league season, the team went 9-2-2.
At nationals, the Blast will play three pool-play games Thursday and Friday. The first game Thursday is at 9:30 a.m. against a team from Stillwater.
After pool-play ends, the Blast will be seeded into a double elimination tournament that begins Friday afternoon and continues through Sunday.
