Wayne F. Jude

Wayne F. Jude, 77 of Clearwater, formerly of Paynesville, died peacefully on Sat., Jan. 5, at the St. Cloud Hospital with his family at his side. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thurs., Jan. 10, at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake with Fr. Andrew Stueve as the Celebrant. Burial followed at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday and prior to the service Thursday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake. Parish Prayers were Wednesday at the funeral chapel. 

Wayne Francis Jude was born August 31, 1941 in St. Cloud to Francis and Clara (Landwehr) Jude. He grew up in Maple Lake, graduating from Maple Lake High School with the Class of 1959. Wayne continued his education at Dunwoody Institute. He served his country in the United States Army Reserves, discharged in 1967 as a Corporal. Wayne was united in marriage to Arlene Wurm on May 12, 1962 at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. They lived in Maple Lake for 13 years, moving to Paynesville in 1976; and in 2015, they moved to Clearwater. Wayne worked for Northern States Power for 37 years, retiring in 1996 as a Lineman Supervisor; he continued to consult for NSP for two years after his retirement. Wayne was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake, the Paynesville American Legion, and was a former member of the Paynesville Lions Club. He enjoyed collecting Farmall tractors, hunting, fishing, and reading. He loved to watch old westerns, the Andy Griffith Show, History Channel, and 60 Minutes. Time was best spent at the cabin in Nimrod or Mille Lacs with family and friends. 
 
Wayne was proud of his family and loved the time he spent with them. He is survived by his wife, Arlene; children, Deb (John) Lieser of Clear Lake, Ron (Kerry) of Maple Lake, Randy (Lisa) of Maple Lake, and Rick (Jodi) of Cold Spring; twelve grandchildren, Nikki (Josh) Laudenbach, Kayla (Tony) Miller, Chelsea (Robert) Koranda, Shelby Lieser, Kaitlyn (Paul) Latour, Joe Jude, Ryan (Sarah) Jude, Dustin (Emily) Jude, Courtney (Tim) Ruter, Dylan, Taylor and Rylee Jude; eleven great grandchildren, Mikko, Etta, Ruby, Sully, Mack, Garret, Kassidy, Tucker, Callen, Rhett, and Case; and brothers and sister, Gary (Cathy) Jude of Maple Lake, Judy Tschumperlin of Eden Valley, Alan (Kathy) Jude of Annandale, Glenn (Darlene) Jude of Dayton, and Bradley (Mary) Jude of Elk River. 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Clara Jude, and brother-in-law, Ray Tschumperlin.
 
The casket bearers were Nikki Laudenbach, Kayla Miller, Ryan, Dustin, Joe, and Dylan Jude. The readers were Kaitlyn Latour, Courtney Ruter, and Taylor Jude. Gift Bearers were Shelby Lieser and Rylee Jude. Chelsea Koranda was the Cross Bearer. Music for the service was provided by Krista Elsenpeter and Sarah Goelz.
