Theodore Steven Friedman, lovingly known as Teddy, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning October 9, 2021, in Colorado Springs, CO. Funeral services will be held at Bridgeview Church in Big Lake, MN on Saturday, October 23 at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow the service at the Becker Cemetery. Visitation was at Bridgeview Church on Friday, October 22 and one hour prior to the Saturday service at 11:00 am. Pastor Kevin Drehmel and Pastor Steve Royalty will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker.

Teddy was born June 1st, 1994, in New Hope, MN to Steven & Christina (Carlson) Friedman and moved to Becker MN, at a young age. He was homeschooled and participated heavily in football and track at Becker High school. Teddy felt called by the Lord to serve, he grew up ministering to others at church alongside his siblings. After High School he attended the University of Northwestern, St Paul, where he also played football, and then attended St Cloud State University. During college he worked at Becker Furniture World before enlisting in the U.S. Army, serving in the Infantry. One of his most treasured accomplishments in life was marrying his soulmate Macy and becoming a father to his precious daughter Kinley. They moved to Colorado Springs where he served as an Infantry Specialist at Fort Carson. Teddy will be remembered by those who loved him as that one in a million. Hardworking, loyal, selfless, and kind. He always had a heart for service whether it be serving the Lord, his family or serving in the US Military. Everyone knew to never take Teddy too seriously; he was always finding a way to add humor into every moment of life. Anyone who knew Teddy also knows he spent countless hours in the gym (@pumpzoo). He was dedicated in every aspect of his life, giving 110% in everything he did. He was a selfless person who loved and lived life to the fullest. Teddy had future plans to go into law enforcement in Rapid City, SD alongside his brother. Teddy was a father, a husband, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a best friend.

Teddy is survived by his wife, Macy of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Kinley of Colorado Springs, CO; father and mother, Steve and Christina of Becker; brothers and sisters, Nick (Lisa) of Rapid City, SD, Tatianna (Joel) Phillips of Nashville, TN, Isaiah (Amanda) of State College, PA, Parker of Becker, Adair (Cody) Case of Bemidji, Kerry, Noah, Rainna, Alyssa and Johnny all of Becker; mother-in-law, Jody (Nick) Mattson of Duxbury, MN; father-in-law, Mark Erson of Plymouth; sister-in-law, Jade (Dom) Erson of Becker; brother-in-law, Reed Erson of Becker; six nieces and nephews with two on the way; and many other family & friends. Teddy was preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin, and dear grandma, Kate Carlson.
