Funeral Service was held Fri., Aug. 25 at the Oakwood Community Church, Becker for Scott Laska who died Monday. Burial was at the Becker Cemetery following services. Visitation was Thurs., Aug. 24 at the church, and again prior to services Friday. Rev. Gerry Bass officiated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Becker.
Scott was born December 4, 1976 in St. Paul to Tony and Brenda (Peltz) Laska. He married Shannon Moore Sept. 8, 2012 in Becker. Scott was a member of Oakwood Community Church and worked in investment compliance. He was an avid sports fan; loving many sports - Baseball, football, golf, tennis, and hockey. He was also previously a hockey coach for his son’s team. He was a huge Matt Cullen and MN Wild fan. Scott was an all-around athlete and an intelligent man often described as honest, trustworthy, charismatic, as having a big heart, and a contagious smile. He loved to make people laugh. Scott was a devoted husband, father, and loving son, brother, and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Laska of Nashua NH; son, Beckham Laska of Nashua, NH; parents, Tony and Brenda Laska of Becker; sister, Dawn (Auston) Warner of Mora; brother, Steve (Annie Shosie) Laska of Richfield; nephews, Chance Heddle, Dakota Warner and Dylan Warner; also many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
