Richard Russell Flansburg, age 82 of Becker passed away on Wednesday May 20, at The Legacy of St. Michael. Visitation was Thurs., May 28 at Becker Baptist Church, the funeral service followed. Interment was at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.

 

Richard was born on May 31, 1932 in Brainerd, MN to Charles and Flora (Meyer) Flansburg.  He grew up in the Brainerd area, served in the US Army during the Korean War, and had made his home in Becker for over twenty years.  He lived his life as an example of his Christian faith and walk.  

 

Richard is survived by his wife, Betty;  nephews Charles (Vicki) Flansburg, Cyril (Vicki) Flansburg, and numerous other nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Flora;  and siblings Charles and Clarence Rounds, Melvin, Phillard, Cyril, Albert, and Douglas Flansburg, Ada Firchau, Daisy Bender, Edith Smart, Ethel Gorton, Bernice Raddatz, and Walter Flansburg.
