Richard E. Anderson

Early on the morning of April 4, Richard Anderson, a cherished husband and father, finished his battle with cancer. He was called to his heavenly home at the age of 57, and was received by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Although his life was cut short, it was overflowing with laughter and with love, and his joyful spirit will not be forgotten. Richard had an ability to draw other’s in because he saw life as an adventure to be enjoyed. To his mother, Marlene, he was the nest son a woman could have hoped for, and to his father Gene, who preceded him in death, he was a great friend. He was faithfully devoted to the love of his life, Dianne, and he was a caring and sensitive father to his children, Sara, Kelly, Danny and Lisa. He will also be missed by his grandchildren who affectionately called him Goopa, and many other closet family and friends.

Richard served in the Navy from 1975-1980. He livid his life with determination and strived for greatness in all he did. He will be remembered for his honesty, generosity, and guidance, as well as his funny mannerisms, unique vocabulary, and love of trains. He was genuine and humble, and thankful for God’s blessing in his life. His family finds comfort in his victory.

“ I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”   2 Timothy 4:7
