“Betty Lou” Margaret Bennett
Aug. 4, 1937 – May 15, 2018

“Betty Lou” Margaret Bennett, age 80 of Becker (Formerly of Walker), gracefully rose to heaven on Tuesday, May 15. Betty was born in Minneapolis on August 4, 1937 to Merton and Alma Robbins. She moved to Walker during her high school years and graduated in 1955. That same year she fell in love and married Merle Bennett, March 5, 1955.

Together, they had four children, Debbie (Eric) Sandberg, Darcy (Doug) Morrow, Dell Bennett and Audrey (Mark) Kohlhepp, and eight very loved and special grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

Betty was a wonderful mother and gifted musician who played the guitar and sang to her children through the years. Eventually she formed her own band, Country Pride, and played in many towns and events throughout Minnesota.

Besides her love for music and family, Betty was a dedicated bookkeeper for Orton Oil Co. She was a talented ceramic painter and spent countless hours making afghans for her family and for children’s hospitals.

Betty moved to Becker after her husband’s passing and made it her home. She made memories, friendships, lots of music and became a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.

Betty enjoyed cooking, knitting, singing, laughing and playing games, but most of all, she fiercely loved her family, friends and the Lord.

Please join us as we honor her life on Wed., June 20 at 1 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 11755 Sherburne Ave No., Becker, MN  55308.
