Norlyn was born September 5th, 1953 to Norton and Agnes (Wiberg) Nelson. He spent his younger years living in Coon Rapids until the family moved to Becker in 1963. He graduated from Becker High School in 1972. Flooring installation was his profession for many years until retirement. Norlyn enjoyed working on his cars and motorcycles. Motorcycling was his greatest passion. Time spent with fellow riders made for many treasured memories. His interests included fishing, music and photography. Norlyn loved Jesus and shared Jesus’ love with others. He had a giving heart and found great joy in blessing others with gifts. Many memories were made riding odyssey, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes and racing remote control cars with family.
Norlyn was survived by siblings: Noreen (Harry) McCalla, Norton (Barb) Nelson and Lonnie (Anne) Nelson. Nieces and Nephews: Christian (Amy) McCalla, Matthew McCalla, Michelle (Tom) Kresko, Megan (Gordon) Schmidt, Clint (Amanda) Nelson, Keri (Dan) Schulte, and Nathanael Nelson. 17 great nieces and nephews, one great-great niece and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 9th at 11am at Snake River Church, 8940 180th Ave SE Becker, MN 55308.
