Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church of Becker for Lowell C. Beihoffer, 90, of Becker, MN who passed away peacefully at his home on October 24, 2021. Pastor Yolanda Denson-Byers will officiate and private family burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church in Becker, MN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Funeral Homes, Becker, MN.
Lowell was born on August 23, 1931 to George Leroy “Roy” and Inez (Hamann) Beihoffer in Hutchinson, MN. He married his first wife, Lois Ilo Jungclaus on September 15, 1956 in Glencoe, MN and she passed away in 1982. He later married Catherine (Whitley) Anderson on February 15, 1991 at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope, MN. Lowell proudly served for our country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After the war, Lowell worked as an electrical engineer for Northern States Power which later became Xcel Energy. Faith was first on Lowell’s list and family came a close second. He was a member of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope, MN for many years. When he moved to Becker, MN, he became a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the American Legion in Gaylord, MN. Lowell was an avid outdoorsman and birder as he loved to spend time gardening, fishing , and duck and pheasant hunting. Lowell also enjoyed traveling and “snow birded” in South Padre Island where he made many memories and friends. Lowell was a very hard working, caring, patient and an overall family man who will be dearly missed by all.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Beihoffer of Becker, MN; sons, Jon (Peggy) of Boulder, CO and David (Dawn) of Arpin, WI; grandchildren, Isaac, Anna, and William; sister, Virginia Simondet; step children, David Anderson, Debbie (Erich) Moeller and Dean Anderson; and step granddaughter, Aleasha. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lois; grandson, Peter; brothers, Dale and Warren Beihoffer; and sisters Dorothy Heuer and Lois Poquette.
Memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society and Faith Lutheran Church of Becker.
