Linda Raye (Baker) Erickson, 63, passed away peacefully in her home in Becker on May 15, 2014.
Linda was born the youngest of six children, on January 3, 1951 in Wadena, MN, to John and Margaret (Klumper) Baker. She grew up on the family farm just outside of Henning, MN and graduated from Henning High School in 1968. She eventually went on to nursing school where she became an LPN.
Linda married Ronnie Rinicker and they were blessed with three children, Troy, Adam and Sean. Years later, after parting ways with him, she eventually made her way back to her hometown of Henning, MN. As her boys grew older she met a wonderful man named Russell Erickson. She married Russell on July 17, 1999 and made her home with him in Becker, MN. She took on several jobs as an LPN and helped Russell with work on the farm. Their grandchildren loved to visit because there was so much for them to do in the open spaces. Linda had a second home in Henning, MN where she would visit on weekends with hopes for them to retire there. Linda was a strong woman and never let her battle with cancer get in the way of anything. Her three ‘little men’ were always a priority in her life and it carried on towards her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and sister. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Linda is survived by her husband Russell Erickson; sons, Troy Rinicker of Becker, Adam (Jennifer) Rinicker of Alexandria and Sean (Lisa) Rinicker of Henning; grandchildren, Tanner Hayes, Brooke Rinicker, Tyler Rinicker, Katelyn Rinicker, Hannah Rinicker, Christian Rinicker and Megan Rinicker; brothers, Gary (Marlys) Baker of Fountain, CO and Marlyn (Jennifer) Baker of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Janet (Joe) Schmitz of Verndale and Sharon (Gary) of Alexandria.
She is preceded in death by her father John (1994), her brother Kenneth (1999) and her mother Margaret (2003).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31 at Snake River Church in Becker, MN. Reviewal from 10-11:30am and service at 11:30.
